We’ve taken two of our most popular recipes, our Brownies and our Blondies, and combined them to make these tasty marble brownies- getting the best of both worlds!
Ingredients:
(For the chocolate brownie part)
- 50g Mortimer Chocolate 70% Chocolate Powder
- 65g butter
- 100g caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 35g plain flour
(For the blondie part)
- 40g Mortimer Chocolate White Couverture Powder
- 50g butter
- 50g caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 50g self-raising flour
Method:
(To make the brownie part)
- Melt the butter in a pan over a low heat and add the chocolate- stir until melted and remove from heat
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the egg with the sugar
- Add the melted chocolate to the mixing bowl and beat
- together
- Sift in the flour
(For the blondie part)
- In a separate mixing bowl, beat together the butter and sugar
- Beat in the White Couverture Powder
- Beat in the eggs 1 at a time with 1tbsp of the flour
- Sift in the remaining amount of the flour and mix all the ingredients together
- Into a greased and lined tin, add both the mixtures in parts, making sure they’re mixed around
- Take a skewer and swirl the mixtures together to make a marble effect
- Bake in the oven at 180° for 20 minutes
