Ingredients
160g plain flour
3 tbsp Mortimer Chocolate Powder (any)
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
160ml almond milk
2tbsp golden syrup
To make the Vegan Chocolate Sauce
2 tbsp golden syrup
1 1/2 tbsp Mortimer Chocolate Powder
Water to thin as needed
Method
- Into a mixing bowl sift the flour, chocolate powder, the baking powder and baking soda
- Mix until all combined evenly
- Add the almond milk and golden syrup and stir everything together to form your batter
- In a frying pan, heat some oil and then place a heaped tabelspoon of the pancake batter into the pan
- Cook each side of the pancake from around 2 minutes
- stack the pancakes on a plate when cooked
To make the vegan chocolate sauce
- Mix together the golden syrup and chocolate powder in a small bowl
- Add small splashes of water whilst stirring to thin the sauce as needed
- Pour over the vegan pancakes
- Enjoy!
